Hi, my name is Lizaida Enamorado and I am a Bilingual Psychiatric mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Florida. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, depression, mood disorders, and more. I also like using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.
My approach
I like to bring a complete and holistic therapeutic approach to improve the functioning of my patients by providing psychotherapeutic interventions, prescribing medications and often collaborating with other healthcare providers as needed to improve my patient's care.
My focus
I typically work with adolescents, young adults, and older adults. My typical patients are 15 years and older. I treat many mental health conditions that include but are not limited to stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Mood disorders, sleep disorders, PTSD, women's issues, men's issues, and more.
My communication style
I am non-judgmental and typically bring a lot of energy into my sessions. I am here to help my patients throughout their mental health journey, whatever it may be. Whether it is temporary or long-term, I set goals and discuss all treatment options together with my patients to make sure they are included in all of their mental health decisions.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my nursing career 24 years ago and have always had a passion for helping others. I first became an adult primary care nurse practitioner in 2017 and noticed how many of my patients needed mental health care but could not find anyone to help or had to wait months for appointments. That is when I decided to go back to school and become a Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and it was the best decision ever. I am dual-certified and feel like I found my purpose with my additional specialty.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together as a team to define what they want to accomplish and to set priorities. I am as conservative as I can be with treatment and always like to bring different options if possible.
My first session with you
You can expect our first session together to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently and to find out what brought you to seek treatment. I will get a full mental health history and ask questions to better understand you and your needs. The first session is about us building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Each individual is different, and I like to listen to all your thoughts and goals to know what will work best for you moving forward.
