Hi there, I'm Constance!

Hi there, I'm Constance! My name is Constance Moore and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with young adults, adults, and the elderly and specialize in anxiety, depression, domestic violence, CPTSD, PTSD, anger management, bipolar, job-related stress, and relationship issues. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help the individual feel better and progress along their journey.

My approach

My approach to therapy is an array of factors based on the needs of each individual I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as both modalities help me and the individual build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together to see what the end result will be.

My focus

My client population and specialty focus I have found to be young adults, adults, and the elderly who may be dealing with interpersonal struggles, life transitions, and challenges at home, work, and school that keep them feeling sad. This often takes the form of displaced anger, depression, and anxiety with numerous emotional deregulation. I work to help the individual get to the root cause in hopes of connecting with the issue that is causing the pain or discomfort. In order to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.

My communication style

My communication style is open, calm, accommodating, and personable. I want the individual to feel safe, relaxed, and willing to share their most intimate thoughts without fearing they will be judged or looked down upon. I pride myself on being able to listen and help the person feel comfortable sharing their pain shame, and guilty feelings in hopes of moving on to become the best version of themselves. Not feeling judged after sharing their story as well. I have always wanted to help people and hear how their problems have gotten better or how they were able to make the necessary adjustments and not all certain thoughts or behaviors keep them sad, and depressed. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best version of themselves.

My journey to mental healthcare

What attracted me to becoming a social worker/ therapist was the fact I found people interesting and amazing to talk to and see all the things one candor in their lifetime. My mother was a big inspiration as well as professional colleagues who encouraged me that this is my path. What drives me to do this work and get up each morning fresh to hear what I am going to be able to listen to the people who entrust their most intimate secrets with me is an honor and a badge of respect. This is more precious than gold to know I had a part in making Chang, history with people who I was able to get to know on a deeper level this is my biggest motivation for doing therapy.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is all about working together making sure your needs are being met, and that you are getting the services you signed up for. This often starts with building trust, building a rapport, and getting comfortable talking openly and honestly about the problems you want help with. Over time, we'll work together to set goals and track your progress

My first session with you

What you expect from our first session is a big welcoming smile, happy you're here, and encouraging you to relax and tell me what brings you to therapy. I try to make you feel as comfortable as I can by asking you to start where you feel comfortable. The first session is to give you a chance to see if you feel a connection to go further into therapy, and it gives you a chance to ask questions to see if we are a good fit for one another.
