Hello, I'm Sara Arter, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I tailor therapy to your unique needs using multiple modalities. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, self-esteem, school issues, divorce, grief, eating disorders, and athletes.

I tailor my approach depending on what areas you would like to focus on. My current approaches include CBT, IFS, play therapy, DBT, and mindfulness.
My focus
I typically work with children ages 5 to 18 and young adults up to 30. I am most comfortable treating conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, self-esteem issues, school-related challenges, divorce, grief, and eating disorders.

My journey to mental healthcare
I was drawn to a career as a therapist because I was bullied in high school, and the only person who truly listened and cared was my school social worker. This experience inspired me to help others overcome obstacles in their lives and provide the same support and understanding that made such a difference for me.

During the first session with me, clients can expect an intake assessment that typically lasts 30 to 45 minutes. This session helps us understand your background, concerns, and goals, laying the foundation for our work together.
