My name is Ishan Berry and I am a LPCMH in the state of Delaware. I'm passionate about helping people reach their mental health goals so they can live their lives to the fullest. I have a master's degree in mental health counseling from Springfield College. I have over ten years of professional experience serving adolescents and adults.
My approach
My approach is to work with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. The modalities I mainly utilize are reality and cognitive behavioral therapy, which, in combination, challenge clients to evaluate and change negative thoughts and action patterns.
My focus
I have helped clients with stress and anxiety, depression, body image issues, trauma, and low motivation and self-esteem. I also have experience helping clients cope with life changes.
My communication style
I am rooted in reality and like to tell my clients things straight forward while creating an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist because people have always found me easy to talk to and have always been willing to share information with me that they typically would not share with others. This motivated me to develop my natural ability into a career that I can help other people become the best version of themselves.
My goals for you
Together, we'll analyze your personality, prior life experiences, and cultural background to develop a therapy plan customized to you.
My first session with you
During the first session, clients can expect to be asked a series of questions about current issues/concerns, prior experiences with treatment and goals for therapy.
