My name is Dr. Miranda Nance, PhD, LICSW with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and adults across the life-span on issues related to anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement, substance recovery, race-based trauma, gender affirming care and relationship difficulties.

My role is to listen to understand, and provide you with tools to help you in achieving your desired outcomes to living your best life.

I utilize various evidenced-based tools including a combination of Solution-Focused, Supportive Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Approach.

My therapeutic communication style is a combination of active listening, reflective, open-ended and interactive.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist to help people who are struggling emotionally learn skills and gain tools to help increase their ability to manage changes throughout the lifespan.
My goals for you
The therapeutic relationship includes helping clients face and understand exactly where they are in terms of their goal and working on a strategy to help improve coping capacity and management of ongoing triggers.

The first session provides an opportunity to assesses your emotional wellbeing and start the process of goal-setting via a series of questions.
