I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have over 17 years of experience working in a variety of settings that include group programs, therapeutic foster care, residential programming, crisis management, therapeutic schooling, and private practice. My experience focuses on developing prosocial behavior, identifying adaptive coping skills, utilizing feeling identification, and implementing stress/anger management techniques. While working with clients, I take a collaborative approach that builds on strengths to help move toward goals and alleviate stress/strong negative emotions.

I take an eclectic strength-based approach that utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, as well as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
My focus
I specialize in working with young adults who are suffering from depression and/or anxiety. By utilizing techniques from my eclectic strength-based approach, I help clients navigate through life's transitional stages and alleviate distress.

I have always been interested in "people's stories." This means being open to learning about a person's unique experiences.
