Hello! My name is Stacie Gilmore and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My approach of therapy is to utilize positive therapy techniques to focus on positive things to help clients grow.
My approach
The most common therapeutic approach I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My focus
My clients that I am most comfortable supporting are children, youth, teens, and adults.
My communication style
I really enjoy getting to know you as a person first, before diving into treatment right off the batt. It allows you to gage your comfort level with me to see if I am a good fit for you!
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always had a passion for wanting to help people and knew since I was a kid. This was not an easy path for me to come to, but I truly enjoy helping people work through/problem solve difficult situations together. It can be really tough and scary to work through difficult feelings and situations where you feel like you are "on your own" where you feel like others do not understand how you feel or your perspective. I have lots of experience working with children and their families. I also support kids in an elementary school setting full time.

Please expect the first session where we are getting to know one another to see if I am a good fit for your needs! I know that it can be SUPER difficult to open up to a total stranger! I want to ensure you feel comfortable engaging and talking with me prior to jumping into things.
