I am a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of diverse experience in treating psychological disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and brain injuries. I specialize in assessing and treating cognitive and developmental problems, anxiety, and depression, using relational and cognitive-behavioral approaches in therapy, and I am Board Certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
My approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in compassionate, evidence-based care. My predominant orientation is mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy, and I also employ concepts from depth-psychology (psychoanalytic and Jungian) when appropriate
My focus
I'm comfortable working with children through older adults
My communication style
I try to develop an empathic, curious and patient atmosphere in my therapeutic communication
My first session with you
We will try to develop a working understanding of you and your background in the first session. Usually, I can give you feedback about a conceptualization of your issues and what approach I recommend by the end of the first session.
