Hello, I'm Michael. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about walking with my clients on their path toward healing and helping them live the most rich and fulfilling life possible.
My approach
I utilize a client-centered and trauma-focused approach. I work from a place of non-judgment and authenticity. I look to help my clients find a foundational sense of safety and security in their inner lives.
My focus
As a parent of multiple children who identify as LGBTQIA, I am strong ally who is passionate about working with this population. As a combat Veteran with four deployments, I strongly desire to help both active duty and Veterans navigate the difficulties that come with serving.
My communication style
I am very direct, open, and honest in communicating with clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I love being a therapist. I never thought I would be in this line of work, but the Army offered me the opportunity and I took it. The ability to have another person trust me enough to be part of their healing experience is more humbling and rewarding than I could have ever imagined.
My goals for you
Goals should be client-centered and work towards moving you closer to the person you want to become.

Initial sessions with me are more of a conversation; although I will be asking additional questions than in subsequent sessions.
