My approach
I use a solution-based, compassionate, and person-centered approach. You are the expert on you. I treat others with dignity and respect and empower them to set and reach their own personal goals. It is my belief that you are the expert on you and I recognize your agency to make informed choices and take responsibility for your choices and related risks.
My focus
I typically work with adults with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, codependency, attachment wounds, first-generation status, substance use, LGBTQIA+, and bipolar disorder.
My communication style
Clients will be met with a warm, nonjudgmental approach with unconditional regard and empathy. I work alongside you in the journey of exploring and understanding your values, assumptions, ideals, and how those color your view of the world. Empathy, vulnerability, and authenticity are at the core of my work.
My journey to mental healthcare
Human psychology has interested me since I was a child...I wanted to understand how the mind worked and why people made the choices they did. Every day I have the privilege of witnessing and being a part of the evolution of another human, which is unlike any other role I've experienced and I am privileged to practice in this field.
My goals for you
We set goals together, to decrease symptoms and alleviation of pain. As your therapist, I will guide and encourage your personal growth.
My first session with you
Our first session will be an intake where I gather history of your life including current challenges; also, we get to know and learn about each other.
