My name is Susan, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I believe therapy should be very person-centered. You are the expert of your life, and as a therapist, I'm not here to tell you that you need to change. I love guiding people through the changes they're hoping for.
My approach
My work focuses on interventions which include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), somatic therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
My focus
I am passionate about supporting individuals with a trauma history and those who struggle with managing anxiety and depressive symptoms. I also have experience working with neurodivergent adults and adolescents.
My communication style
My communication style is very calm, engaging, and understanding. I believe humor is healing and try to incorporate such during sessions.
My first session with you
In the first session, we're just getting to know each other. I don't put any pressure on talking about anything specific and like to let you guide what you'd like to talk about.
