Hello! My name is Katie Tidrick, LMFT. My role as your therapist is to help shed light on your inner strength and resiliency as you discover the self-empowerment that comes through sharing your story.
My approach
Through the use of Positive Psychology and Person-Centered Therapy techniques along with other evidence-based practices, I will walk with you in identifying practical and meaningful ways to deepen your self-understanding and to discover what inspires you and how to live your best life now.
My focus
I serve clients who suffer from depressed mood, anxiety, sleeping difficulties, traumatic experiences, attention and learning difficulties, in addition to psychosis and thought disorders.
My communication style
I take a holistic approach to psychotherapy, honoring the mind, body, and soul. I am trauma-informed and use a culturally sensitive lens. I practice through various modalities and work to find the approach that fits best based on an individual's needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
My interest in therapy developed slowly over time. I have always enjoyed listening to others and found myself drawn toward the helping profession to study how to best support those in need.

Setting a therapeutic goal for treatment comes in all shapes and sizes. Nothing is written in stone and goals are tailored to each individual.

The first session is a psychosocial assessment to develop an understanding of the individual being served and to determine the goodness of fit for the therapy provided.
