My name is Samantha Laurie and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a certified PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) provider. I have been in practice for 10 years and have experience with a very wide variety of populations and mental health issues clients have had. Most of my experience is with youth of all ages and their families but I also meet with adult individuals and couples as well. My main goal and philosophy are to be a compassionate support person who is family centered, strength-based, implement helpful interventions all in order to validate as well as support you through your individualized challenges and reach your future goals.

Integrative Therapy using many different approaches. Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy
My focus
I work with people of all ages and from all walks of life. However, most of my experience is with anxiety, depression, and I worked at a non-profit for many years working with youth with behavioral issues/anxiety so that is the population I have worked with most.

Relaxed, comfortable, and client-centered so clients feel at ease and safe to be vulnerable.
My journey to mental healthcare
I experienced family challenges as a child, conflict, and anxiety. I also have also been an empath, compassionate, caring, a good listener, and a desire to help others.
My goals for you
Collaborative. We discuss thoroughly the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors they would like to work on, the frequencies of these experiences, and regularly check in on progress made so we an adjust as needed.
My first session with you
A first session would be an opportunity to discuss consent for services, confidentiality, get to know one another, build rapport, ask about themselves, their strengths, their concerns, and goals for counseling as well as offer them to ask me any questions they may have for me.
