I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping adults, children, and parents heal and function more effectively in their lives. With a diverse background in social work, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from a range of evidence-based interventions including Brainspotting, EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, CRM, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Parent Management Training. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
My focus
I work with individuals of all ages, including children (ages 5-7), minors (ages 13-17), and adults. My specialties include ADHD, anger management, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, parenting, grief, divorce, depression, OCD, trauma and PTSD, behavioral issues, chronic pain, and relationship issues.
My communication style
I believe in fostering an open, collaborative relationship with my clients. While I do not accept clients solely seeking medication management, I am committed to providing ongoing therapy to support your mental health journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with a solid educational foundation, including a bachelor's degree in nutrition from Cal Poly Pomona, a teaching credential from Sierra Nevada College, and a master's degree in social work from the University of Nevada at Reno. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience in various areas of social work, including community mental health, hospice care, dialysis support, and hospital discharge planning.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools and insights needed to overcome challenges, build resilience, and lead a more fulfilling life. Together, we will work towards achieving your personal goals and fostering lasting positive change.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss your current concerns, history, and goals for therapy. This initial meeting allows us to establish a rapport, assess your needs, and develop a personalized treatment plan. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.
