Hello, I am Breeanna Oropeza and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California and working with clients statewide via telehealth. My clients have ranged across all ages and cultures. I specialize in working with young adults, teens, adolescents, and children including those needing support through trauma-related issues, anxiety, stress, depression, and relational and attachment challenges.
My approach
I approach therapy by assessing the needs of each individual client and creating a treatment plan based on client-specific needs, strengths, and goals. I most frequently work with Cognitive behavioral therapy and specialize in Child Parent Psychotherapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My focus
I have found my style and therapy approach are a good fit for clients who are exhibiting trauma-related symptoms, anxiousness, or depressive symptoms. I utilize a variety of treatment approaches ranging from talk therapy, art interventions, play therapy, and mindfulness to support clients navigating challenges in their lives.
My communication style
My communication style is calm, approachable, and accommodating. I hope for my clients to feel comfortable attending sessions and talking about concerns without judgment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am driven to be a therapist due to my desire to ensure others are listened to and feel understood. As individuals, we all have unique experiences that make us who we are as a whole. It is important to me that clients leave therapy feeling they have gained skills to combat life challenges and a deeper understanding of their strengths.
My goals for you
I work with clients to set individualistic goals that feel feasible and empowering to ensure clients meet their expectations of therapy services. Goal setting starts by building a trusting dynamic and ensuring clients feel comfortable within each step of therapy.
My first session with you
The first therapy session is spent talking about what drives you to seek therapy and me asking questions to better understand you as an individual. The goal of the first session is to establish a sense of the path of what therapy treatment and goals will look like moving forward and discuss therapist/client expectations.
