Hello, my name is Irene Manzanares and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am passionate about working with individuals from diverse populations. I strive to assist with growth and healing by focusing on the individual's needs.
My approach
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist with understanding one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also utilize the empowerment model to assist with change.
My focus
I enjoy working with individuals who struggle with making life changes due to past experiences or current limitations. I have the ability to work with individuals throughout the entire life span and am well diverse in treating males and females.
My communication style
When working with clients, I allow clients to set the tone. It provides me with an understanding of the individual and provides a comfortable space for treatment. I have been told I am engaging and provide a non-judgmental approach.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey as a therapist came after seeing wonderful work done for others. My "why" is how I make individuals feel valued and important despite life struggles. I hope to plant the seeds to assist my clients be the best version of themselves. Sometimes, changes come later, but when a therapist emotionally holds their clients, that's a wonderful feeling.

I collaborate with the client in developing treatment goals. It is important to me that my clients' voices are heard and they are engaged in their treatment.
My first session with you
When meeting with my clients for the first time. I am going to start building rapport by listening to their needs. I also will provide the expectations in sessions as well as provide a safe space for them.
