My name is Arielle Hertzberg (she/her). I am a queer, gender-affirming therapist, who brings a compassionate, anti-oppressive lens to the work I do. I can help with building new routines, reframing thinking patterns, changing behaviors, and delving deeper into traumas that might be affecting the way you think and behave
My approach
I am a person or client-centered therapist that combines evidenced-based therapeutic modalities to meet the needs of the individual, couple, or family I am working with to align with treatment goals. I collaborate with clients to address treatment needs and frequently utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based (Trauma Focused), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My focus
I have experience with and enjoy working with a diverse population such as the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants. I am especially focused on helping individuals including adults and adolescents, couples and families navigate the impacts of identity, substance use, loss, and change.
My communication style
I believe that counseling is a powerful tool for positive change. I work collaboratively with my clients to build new skills, develop more effective relationships and navigate stressful situations.
My goals for you
It takes incredible courage to reach out, and I'm glad you are here reading this today. My purpose as a therapist is to convince you that you can, and deserve to, have a life that you can be proud of, and grateful for.
