Hi there, I'm Fenela!

My name is Fenela Pahed and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). I am based in Los Angeles, California. I currently provide therapy throughout the state of California via telehealth. I work with teens and adults focusing on depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, and interpersonal relationships. I use multiple therapeutic approaches to best fit my clients' needs and provide guidance in finding their balance in life.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is a combination of multiple modalities to best fit each individual's needs. My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness skills to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space to help each individual find their strengths and resilience to navigate challenging circumstances.

My focus

I have experience working with children, teens, families, and adults in my previous work. I am finding that I am most effective in working with older teens and adults in navigating life transitions, managing stress and anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, and improving overall well-being. I strive to help individuals learn skills and tools to set goals, identify action steps, and build confidence in navigating the ebbs and flows of life.

My communication style

I provide a safe, calm, person-centered space. I strive to provide a no-judgment zone and create a comfortable space for individuals to feel connected and heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

I initially took a class about psychology which started my interest in pursuing it further. I have always been described as a good listener, easy to talk to, and a calm spirit. Combining all these strengths, I decided to pursue a career in helping others find their strengths and help them work towards becoming their best selves.

My goals for you

I work to build a positive rapport by listening, asking questions, and encouraging collaboration in identifying what's important for you to focus on in our time together. We will create goals and keep track of progress toward the set goals.

My first session with you

My goal for our first session is to get to know you and build a connection. I often start by gathering information to better understand what you have been going through and what motivated you to seek support in improving your mental health. Our first session is an opportunity to get a sense if you feel comfortable and connected with me as a therapist and together decide what would be our best steps forward.
