Frances Crean, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Your goals are of utmost importance, and understanding barriers that could be in the way is often the path to success. Issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, excessive worry, substance misuse, work-related stressors, and life transitions of every kind are the focus areas of my practice.
My approach
My approach to therapy depends largely on the needs of the client. Approaches may include Motivational Interviewing, Supportive Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
My focus
Clients in my practice are adults of a variety of ages, circumstances, genders, ethnicities, faiths, and stages of life. My typical clients are suffering from stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, life transition issues, job-related stressors, parenting concerns, substance abuse, co-dependency, and may be also suffering a loss and are grieving.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, open-minded, curious, positive, and direct.
My journey to mental healthcare
My respect for each person and genuine interest in the stories of others first attracted me to this work. Now, after more than 30 years, I am thrilled to see progress, clarity, and hope in the lives of my clients.
My goals for you
Clients themselves define the areas of their lives they wish to work on. We together identify contributing or external factors and agree together on the goals for treatment.
My first session with you
During the initial session, there will be a general life history reviewed as well as health issues or concerns. We will then review the areas you wish to work on during therapy and establish specific treatment goals.
