My name is Chantel Weigel, licensed Marriage and Family therapist. I believe in a client-centered, evidence-based approach to therapy. I love helping people find effective methods to improve overall feelings of wellness in their life in addition to helping move past temporary stressors.
My approach
I utilize solution-focused, client-centered therapy sessions. This often includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing.
My focus
I work with people of all ages, children through adults. I specialize in anxiety disorders, life transitions, and depression.
My communication style
All of my sessions are client-centered. We will focus on your goals in a supportive environment utilizing effective, evidence-based treatment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always been drawn to helping professions. My grandmother was a social worker, and watching the impact she had on people's lives inspired me to seek my Master's in Clinical Psychology.
My goals for you
I believe all goals, both short and long term should be set by clients and supported by the therapist.
My first session with you
A first session would be primarily based on getting to know the client and what they expect from therapy. We would talk about what is going well, what you want to focus on in therapy and what you hope will change in our time together.
