Hi there, I'm Allison!

Hi there, Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Allison Gentz, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am currently licensed in California, Arizona, and Nevada with over 12 years of experience working as a therapist and social worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, ADHD, substance abuse, trauma, autism, and development delays, foster care, and the jail/prison population. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My approach

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I believe in a straightforward approach to therapy with the use of cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and solution focused orientation. I believe that everyone has the ability to make changes with support and guidance.

My focus

Open to working with adolescents/adults 13 years and older. I am most comfortable working with clients who are seeking help with the following conditions such as ADHD, Abuse (sexual, emotional, physical), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Bipolar Spectrum Disorders, Depression, Generalized Anxiety, Grief, PTSD, Panic, Relationship Issues, Substance & Alcohol Abuse, and Trauma
