Hi there, I'm Avigail!

As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe space where clients feel heard and valued. It is a privilege to be allowed into people's lives and have them share their deepest thoughts and feelings with me.

My approach

My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a safe and supportive environment. I draw upon various modalities, including Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Compassion Focused, Family Systems, Humanistic, Mindfulness-Based, Person-Centered, Relational, Trauma Focused, and Structural Family Therapy approaches to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs.

My focus

I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families dealing with a range of issues, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, parenting, co-parenting, grief, and medical concerns. My areas of focus also include anger management, behavioral issues, career counseling, child abuse or neglect, chronic illness, codependency, chronic pain, coping skills, divorce, domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, women's issues, stress, sexual abuse, self-esteem, relationship issues, and LGBTQIA+ matters.

My communication style

My communication style aims to create an atmosphere where clients feel comfortable sharing openly. I listen attentively and provide a non-judgmental space for self-expression.

My journey to mental healthcare

I began my journey in mental healthcare driven by a deep desire to help others navigate life's challenges. I earned my Master's degree in psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. My clinical training included working as a Medical Family Therapist Intern at Loma Linda University Liver Transplant Clinic and Medical Center, as well as serving as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and Trainee at various counseling centers and social service organizations.

My goals for you

My primary goal for you is to feel supported, understood, and empowered as we work together to address your concerns and achieve your therapeutic objectives. I am committed to providing a safe, collaborative space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences, develop new insights and coping strategies, and cultivate personal growth and well-being.
