For me, the greatest reward as a therapist is helping clients grow through discovering ways to make changes in their lives that allow for a hopeful future. I offer a warm, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed space for you to feel safe, validated, and authentic. I have experience working with individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, struggles with processing grief, and cognitive distortions. My goal as a therapist is to be able to provide my clients with the tools, insight, and knowledge to be able to break free from previous negative coping strategies. My focus
I enjoy working with professionals who are ready to work on themselves and heal. My ideal client has struggled with anxiety, depression, racial trauma, life transitions, women's and men's issues.
My communication style
I am empathetic but direct with my clients. Most people have "blindspots" and at times are unable to recognize when they have been in survival mode, they can pick up negative habits/traits. I'd like to point that out to clients in a way that makes them feel aware and empowered to make changes. I also enjoy a collaborative approach and want clients to feel heard and take the lead in the sessions.
