Raduca Kaplan received her B.A. in Comparative Religion and premed studies from Columbia University and a Masters in Psychology from Antioch University. She currently works in private practice in Studio City, California. As a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation for 40 years, Raduca is particularly focused in her practice on the mind-body integration as well as how one functions from that level of wholeness in their relationship with the other. She uses her certification in trauma to explore the developmental aspect of early injury and how it impacts an individual's ability to relate to self and their environment. Her work with children and families directed Raduca's interest to prevention, education and parental support with focus on strengthening the parental dyad and to recalibrate family's systemic dynamics. Raduca's preventive work is family and parent-centered and focuses on helping parents parent emotionally, mentally and physically integrated human beings.

My journey to mental healthcare
One of my aha moments that made me focus on working therapeutically with families and children came when I realized material that I learned as a parent in parenting class at my kids' preschool was also taught in child and adolescent treatment in graduate school. I asked my professor to explain and he said "if you are not doing it right then you have to do it here in treatment." The starting point though was my experience with medical trauma as a child that inspired me to go into a healing profession.
