As a therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals, families, and couples grow and heal. I bring an integrated, holistic perspective to my work, focusing on authenticity, empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard.
My approach
My approach to therapy incorporates evidence-based practices, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based approaches, and mindfulness practices. I aim to highlight your strengths to build resilience and create opportunities for growth.
My focus
I work with individuals, couples, and families. My specialties include women's issues, anxiety, chronic illness, chronic pain, panic attacks, coping skills, grief, codependency, trauma and PTSD, self-esteem, depression, family conflict, life transitions, and relationship issues.
My communication style
I communicate with authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. My style is warm and non-judgmental, aiming to create a safe space for open sharing. I listen intently and reflect back on what I'm hearing to ensure clear understanding. I ask questions to encourage deeper exploration and share insights with sensitivity and respect.
My goals for you
My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive space to explore your challenges, gain new insights and skills, and make positive changes in your life. I will tailor my approach to your unique needs and work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your therapy goals.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and begin getting to know each other. I will ask about your background, current situation, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and see if you feel comfortable with me as your therapist. We will begin to develop a plan for how to proceed with future sessions based on your needs and goals.
