Hi there, I'm Leslie!

HI! I am Leslie Lombardy, a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I am dedicated to providing a client-centered approach to therapy combined with solution-focused strategies. I place a great emphasis on creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients.

My approach

By fostering a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationship, I work alongside my clients to explore their unique experiences, strengthen coping skills, promote self-discovery, and empower them to navigate life's challenges with resilience and well-being.

My focus

I typically work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues.

My communication style

As a therapist, I embody a direct communication style that promotes open and honest dialogue in the therapeutic process. I believe in speaking truthfully and transparently while maintaining empathy and respect. I strive to create a safe environment where clients can explore their concerns, challenge unhelpful patterns, and gain insights that lead to meaningful personal growth and positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

The opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives, witnessing their growth and resilience, is very fulfilling and also allows me to grow as a person. I am inspired by the potential to empower individuals, promote well-being, and facilitate positive change in my clients' lives.

My goals for you

It is important for therapists and clients to collaboratively establish meaningful and realistic goals that align with the client's values, needs, and aspirations. By doing so, therapy becomes purposeful, focused, and conducive to positive change. I seek to establish goals in the first 1-2 sessions and revisit them regularly to make sure treatment is staying on track. I also use them to inform treatment and measure progress.

My first session with you

Clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can freely express themselves without fear or judgment. The first session provides an opportunity for me to get to know the client and understand their concerns, goals, and personal history. It is the beginning of establishing the therapeutic relationship, setting expectations, collaborating on goals, and giving clients hope.
