Munju Anna Chung, LCSW 114974. Hello! I prefer to be called "Anna." I enjoy servicing a diverse population and have worked with adults (18 and up) with OCD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. My approach to therapy is holistic and trauma-informed.
My approach
My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. Some common theoretical approaches I use are Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Trauma and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Informed.
My focus
I like to work with a diverse population in the areas as follows: Relationship Issues, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem, Spirituality, Group Therapy.
My communication style
I believe building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is highly important. I value compassion, curiosity, empathy, and non-judgmentalism. I consider it my privilege to be invited into people's sacred inner space and journey together on a path to healing and recovery.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have had a diverse career, ranging from being a certified public accountant (CPA), being in executive management both in the social service and business sectors, and being a psychotherapist. I found most enjoyment, satisfaction, and fulfillment in my role as a therapist as if to wear clothing that fit me. I consider my role as a therapist not merely as a job, but as a calling.
