I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has many years working in both the hospital and clinic setting. I utilize a client-centered approach and have experience working with clients with chronic illness, depression, anxiety, grief, and stress.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies on the needs of each client. I most frequently use cognitive behavior therapy and strength-based approach as both modalities help me and the client reach a better understanding of their reality in order to work together for a more positive outcome of therapy.
My focus
I have years of clinical Social Worker experience working with clients from all walks of life. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, and stress-related challenges to life's changes including adjusting to chronic illness and grief.
My communication style
I take a collaborative approach in therapy starting where you are and working together to make positive changes. Therapy can be a vulnerable process and I hope to create a safe and supportive space throughout this process that fosters each person's desired healing and growth.
My journey to mental healthcare
In our first session, I hope to create a very relaxing, safe, and nonjudgmental environment for my clients to voice their concerns. Through active listening, I hope to get a clear understanding of where my client is at and what brought them to therapy.
My goals for you
I have always enjoyed helping people in my professional role. My journey has been a very rewarding experience sharing in their personal struggles with the hope of improving the quality of their life.
My first session with you
I like to focus on setting simple goals in our first session. Through treatment, we will work together on developing mutual goals that can be worked on during and outside of our sessions. I like for my clients to know that we can always reevaluate their goals as we move along with the therapeutic process.
