Hello, I'm Monique Martin, a therapist with years of experience working with youth and families. I bring compassion, intuition, and authenticity to my therapeutic approach.

In my practice, I draw upon cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, client-centered therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques. I tailor my approach to best fit the unique needs and goals of each individual I work with.

I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, trauma, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to the field of mental healthcare through my passion for helping others and my belief in the transformative power of therapy. I have honed my skills through extensive clinical experience, including providing therapy at Shields for Families from June 2018 to April 2019 under the supervision of Michael M, LCSW, and at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health from April 2019 to July 2020 under the supervision of Jeremy Winn, LCSW.

My goal is to help you gain greater self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and build the skills and resilience needed to navigate life's challenges with confidence. I am dedicated to supporting you on your journey towards improved mental health and overall well-being.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and establishing a strong therapeutic alliance. I will listen to your story, discuss your goals for therapy, and collaborate with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share your concerns, and get a sense of whether we are a good fit to work together. I aim to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable opening up and beginning your journey towards healing and growth.
