Hi there, I'm Rita!

Hi, my name is Rita Diaz and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. In your sessions, I would like for you to speak freely, share your experiences, and gain an understanding of yourself. I believe I can help guide you through your concerns to meet your goals.

My approach

I believe you are your own expert of yourself.

My focus

I have experience working with children, teens, and young adults, but am open to working with older adults as well. The majority of my clients have had history of trauma, court dependency, or co-dependency concerns.

My communication style

I'm very open with my communication and hope through building our therapeutic relationship you can be as well. I believe honesty, as difficult as it may be, will assist in meeting your goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started my journey with the intention of being a school counselor. I learned during my program the opportunities of being a clinical therapist and realized it was what I really wanted to do. I've always been an observer and have had curiosity about our human behaviors as well as considering our environment and how it affects us. But! Also understanding that our environment does not define us.

My goals for you

I meet you where you are and encourage a step further.

My first session with you

We will establish our expectations of one another and do our best to ensure that I can provide what you need for your therapeutic goals.
