As an attachment and trauma-focused therapist, I am committed to helping clients reveal to themselves the underlying causes, origins, and nature of the issues they have come to experience. My work centers on reducing fear and building confidence around the brain's normal reactions to stressful life events.
My approach
I take a client-focused, strengths-based, and mindful approach to helping clients discover their adaptive capacity for resilience. I believe in empowering clients to understand the roots of their challenges and to develop effective coping strategies.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals facing challenges related to addiction, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, trauma, and more. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and I have experience supporting clients across the gender identity spectrum. I enjoy working with adults who are, or suspect that they may be, on the autism spectrum. And, older adults navigating the unique stressors of retirement and aging.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to make positive changes. I tailor my approach to each individual's unique needs and goals.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California. Through my training and clinical experience, I developed a deep passion for helping others heal from trauma and attachment wounds. I am continuously learning through research, podcasts, and workshops focused on neurobiology, trauma theory, mindfulness, and values-based living.
My goals for you
My goal is to help you gain insight into your experiences, build resilience, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater ease. I strive to empower you to live a more authentic, fulfilling life aligned with your core values.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and begin to develop a shared understanding of your unique situation. I will listen attentively to understand your perspective, struggles, and hopes. Together, we will start to formulate a therapeutic plan to help you move towards your goals at a pace that feels right for you.
