I specialize in treating individuals who suffer from chronic, persistent depression or difficulty regulating emotions, and find themselves using substance abuse or other unhealthy behaviors to manage their symptoms. I join with my clients to uncover what is maintaining those unhealthy patterns and learn new skills to cope.
My approach
My foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I believe this approach is so valuable in offering concrete and goal-oriented treatment. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which I find to be especially useful with persistent depression. Bottom line–the approach should fit the individual!
My focus
I am willing to see individuals and work with clients to identify how developmental trauma from childhood influences their coping style. I help them develop self-compassion and acceptance as a part of healing.
My communication style
Patience, compassion, and a sense of humor are my most valuable tools. I look forward to speaking with you and creating an individualized plan to address your needs.

My first session with you
In our first session, we will discuss your needs and create an individualized treatment plan. I will take the time to understand your unique situation, drawing upon my specialties in treating substance use, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual addiction, stress, and trauma/PTSD using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches.
