I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a wide range of experience in various settings, including teletherapy, clinical environments, medical social work, child protective services, and a foster family agency. With my diverse skill set, I am well-equipped to provide support and guidance during your time of need.
My approach
My therapeutic approach draws from a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tailor my approach to best suit the unique needs and goals of each individual client.
My focus
I work with individuals of various ages, including adults, minors (ages 13-17), preteens (ages 8-12), and children (ages 5-7). My areas of specialty include addiction, anxiety, behavioral issues, coping skills, depression, drug abuse, grief, life coaching, stress management, substance use, suicidal ideation, teen violence, trauma and PTSD, weight loss, and child abuse or neglect.
My communication style
I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am an attentive listener and believe in the power of open, honest communication to foster personal growth and healing.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was drawn to the field of mental healthcare by a deep desire to help others navigate life's challenges and achieve their full potential. I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2014 from Loma Linda University, a Christian-based program. My education and personal values have instilled in me a respect for the diverse religious beliefs and traditions of my clients.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and support you need to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and lead a more fulfilling life. Together, we will work to identify your strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and create positive changes that align with your values and aspirations.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I will listen carefully to your concerns, answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process, and collaborate with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals. This initial session is an opportunity for us to build a foundation of trust and understanding that will guide our work together.
