My approach
I have developed my own method of working with clients: FRESH OUTTA PLANS®: Three pillars to peace: Untangle the Mind, Experience the Invisible and Connect with Community. We dive into family or origin work, solutions used to navigate life and see what needs to be changed and if you are willing to change.
My focus
People come with spiritual questions, stagnant careers, challenging relationships, codependency, life passages, substance use challenges, anxiety and depression. Jeanie helps clients embark on their own powerful spiritual journey of healing with a sense of courage, wonder, discovery and humor. They learn to live a happy and authentic life. She has worked with individual clients, families, celebrities, audiences, business and thought leaders who have applauded her as a powerful healer. Are you willing to change?
My communication style
I provide safety for my clients. I embody the right combination of compassion, humor and honesty. I am both direct and supportive. I ask you become a detective and look at your life to see where you need to change. I can help you feel inner peace regardless of what is happening in your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
My career initially was a high school American hHistory and Government teacher. I grew up in an alcoholic home and it colored my experience with the world but I pushed all that down until much later in my life. The death of both parents by the time I was 21 caused me to reject anything I had been taught in church. The murder of a friend's 6 yr old child deepened that rejection of God. Finally, i arrived at a place everyone does, just before surrender. I was FRESH OUTTA PLANS®. I was finally in enough pain to look at my life and do something. I became a therapist so I could help others out of their own pain so they could live a peaceful, happy life.
My goals for you
I will first ask you to look at yourself to find out how you approach the world, what your favorite solutions are and then what are your goals. We humans want others to change, but we are the only ones in our power to change, so what are you willing to look at?
My first session with you
I want a client to tell me about themselves and what is going well in their life and what is not. If you had a magic wand, what would you change in your life? Realizing you do not have a magic want, what about yourself are you willing to change. I want to know family history.
