Hello, my name is David Fallon and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with about 20 years of experience. Therapy is all about the client. I am here to help guide you in any way I can to meet your life goals.
My approach
I utilize an Object Relations approach to join with the client and figure out how to move forward to the change the client seeks. As an adjunct, I use CBT, DBT, Narrative, and other techniques. I am client-centered and solution-focused in my work. I am willing to go the distance to help a client reach their goals.
My focus
I have worked with ages 18-99, both men and women. Serious mental illness has been my primary focus, but I am able to work with mild depression and anxiety as well.
My communication style
I work to remain genuine and open throughout therapy sessions. I ask open-ended questions as well as detailed questions in order to get the right information to figure out how to provide proper guidance. The needs of the client will always direct the course of therapy. Clients should feel free to be honest and open as well, but not forced.
My journey to mental healthcare
About 25 years ago, I saw a therapist for mild depression and career difficulties. In the 4 years when I saw her, I rediscovered a desire to help people which I have had since I was very young. I went on to get my Master's in Clinical Psychology and MFT license. Since then, I have helped countless individuals including many people who were once living on the streets. It has been the great privilege of my life to assist others in moving forward in their life journeys.
My goals for you
Goal setting is an open conversation. We set the goals together and we check in regularly on progress. Goals can be flexible as well as the client discovers what they truly want to work on.
My first session with you
Expect to feel welcome and accepted. There will be a lot of questions from me in order to begin to get to know you. You will be given opportunities to ask questions as well. Let me know if you are not comfortable answering any questions.
