I am Karina Valdez, LMFT. I understand life can be overwhelming and stressful. I am here to help guide you to be the best version of yourself where you can learn how to cope with the stressors and adversities that life throws at you on a short- and long-term basis. Therapy is a way for you to have a confidential, non-judgmental, safe space to explore what troubles you most in life. My primary focus in my practice is helping people heal from traumatic adversities that have occurred in their life.
My approach
I take a trauma-informed approach to help you break any unhealthy patterns, improve communication and manage the stress of life. Some of the areas I specialize in are sexual abuse (male and female), domestic violence, and childhood trauma. I have worked with helping people through Grief, Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD.
My focus
I would like to work with ages 20 years old and older. I am most comfortable treating PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and adjustment disorder.
My communication style
I create a warm inviting environment via telehealth with a nonjudgemental approach.
