Hi there, I'm Liliana!

Hello, my name is Liliana Londono, and I am a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in working with anxiety, stress, and mood disorders. I use Jungian Psychology and Somatic Experiencing as my main therapeutic approaches to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.

My approach

I utilize Jungian Psychology to assist my clients in gaining self-awareness and a deeper understanding of themselves for the purpose of helping them to create balance, change, and growth in their lives. I also utilize Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented therapeutic approach, to help my clients ease physical and anxiety symptoms, release tension, and regulate their nervous system. I am also considered eclectic as I tailor therapy to your own unique needs and may borrow from various therapy models.

My focus

I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for young adults and middle age adults that may be dealing with challenges related to unresolved childhood issues, emotional distress, interpersonal relationships, and life stressors that may manifest in anxiety, depression, stress, and somatic symptoms. I am a great match with clients who not only want to alleviate their symptoms but who are also looking for a more holistic approach in our work together. I work to help my clients gain a better understanding of themselves and create lasting change by utilizing techniques such as shadow work, dream work, and visualizations.

My communication style

My communication style is respectful, accommodating, and empathic. I want my clients to feel comfortable and safe talking with me about anything with the knowingness that I view them with unconditional positive regard.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a therapist started with my inquisitive nature and innate desire to help others. I’ve been asking myself the deeper questions of life since I was very young: Who am I? Why are we here? Why do some people struggle more than others? The adults in my life didn’t have many answers, so I had to become a student of life. A part of that journey was becoming a therapist, and I’ve been doing it for over 20 years.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting is to create a safe and warm atmosphere from the beginning for you to be able to comfortably identify what brings you to therapy and what are the goals you would like to accomplish in our time together. My aim is to work collaboratively with you and over time, provide you with the necessary tools and coping strategies for you to be able to accomplish your goals.

My first session with you

In our first session, our time together will be spent getting to know you and learning about what brings you to therapy. I will be asking questions about your presenting concerns, about how you have been feeling recently, and about your history. The first session is not only about information gathering but also about building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of how we can best work together.
