Hello my name is Nadine La Fleur, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Once I feel that we have a collaborative relationship I like to discuss what and how their goals might be reached in a timely manner. A timely manner is whatever is reasonable based on their past history.
My approach
My approach to therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapies.
My focus
I typically work with Ages 12 and above and he conditions worked with are numerous, however, the basic patient conditions are anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
My communication style
The atmosphere I provide is warm and trusting without judgment. I allow the client to tell me their story without interruption. If I feel they need more help or direction it is provided.
My journey to mental healthcare
The helping professional has always allured. It felt like a natural and nice way to spend one's time in a career. There was also a desire to find out more about myself and what drives my own behavior. In addition, there was also a need to improve myself and be a compassionate and understanding human being.

My first session with you
A warm and friendly collaborative first meeting without pressure to divulge a great deal of information about themselves. At the beginning of the first session, I like to listen to the client tell me why they are here in whatever manner they choose to do so.
