My name is Gabriela Cibrian and I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. My passion is working with individuals and families to help them understand behavioral patterns within themselves to help them make positive changes.

My therapeutic approach is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused. Utilizing these approaches I want to empower my clients to make progress by highlighting strengths and bringing awareness to behavioral challenges.

My style and approach to therapy are a good fit for children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma and symptoms related to stress, anxiety, and depression. I specialize in working with clients to help them understand trauma responses and formulate a plan to create healthier thought patterns that lead to healthier behavioral patterns.

My communication style is accepting, calm, hopeful, and transparent. I like to create an environment where clients feel supported and safe to talk about what's on their minds while encouraging them to discover the best in themselves.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey as a therapist began when I personally discovered the benefits of psychotherapy that made positive changes in my own life. I am empathetic, trustworthy, and assertive and I want to help others see the power of making changes in themselves and creating healthier relationships with those around them.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting with clients by guiding them to identify impairments and empowering them to establish their own goals. This builds autonomy in each client as they identify goals and work towards making progress.
My first session with you
During our first session together I will ask questions and gather information to identify the presenting problem. I will attempt to create an atmosphere to help build trust and connection and together determine how I can best support you in reaching your goals.
