Hi, I'm Allison Brown. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy throughout California. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and postpartum. I use both cognitive and somatic therapies to help my clients feel connected to the world and like themselves again.
My approach
Therapy is a collaborative process and a sacred space to process and connect. I use an array of modalities and tools tailored to each individual person and even individual sessions. Overall I believe in combining the cognitive with the somatic for holistic healing.
My focus
I work with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, and big life changes/transitions including pregnancy and postpartum. I also have extensive experience working with trauma. All the above causes people to feel out of control and overwhelmed. I have the honor of supporting people through their pain and into healing and feeling whole again.
My communication style
My communication style is conversational, relaxed, and warm. Therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable exploring all the parts of you. It is a space without judgment to figure out what is blocking you and move toward healing. My goal is always to help you feel safe and able to be vulnerable.
