Hi there, I'm Munira!

Munira Montez, LCSW. We all have challenges from one time to another, and we all need support to get through these hard times. It is the processing through, the building of coping skills, and the understanding of self/situation that helps us respond (in a positive way) to hardships in life. I am big on Self-Awareness, awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to our recovery.

My approach

CBT, CPT, DBT Techniques, Strengths/Empowerment Perspective, Self-Awareness through Chain Analysis, and Education.

My focus

Adults that are experiencing symptoms of anxious mood and depressed mood due to situational stressors.

My communication style

I offer an empathetic approach in a therapeutic environment. There is a caring and genuine vibe that allows the client to feel heard and understood.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have been blessed to have a well-rounded educational experience, in-class/in-the-field/in-life. It allowed me to continue in the social work field as an LCSW, and offer support on a therapeutic level.

My goals for you

Support clients, through guidance and education, to partialize/prioritize their goals. Then collaboratively develop/start a treatment plan.

My first session with you

Exploratory conversation, assessing their challenges, building rapport, and explaining how I will be able to support them through ongoing therapy.
