Hello All! My name is Daniel Fisher, and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have been licensed since 2018 and have professional experience with dual-diagnosis adults, substance use, children with autism, school-based counseling, and transitional living for adolescents.
My approach
As a marriage and family therapist, my approach is to truly appreciate and work with a variety of different people from all parts of California and the rest of the United States. I use modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Play Therapy to help my clients make positive changes.
My focus
My passion is to work with children and young adults, giving them guidance and feedback in order to accomplish their dreams. I'm willing to see individuals, couples, minors (ages 13-17), and preteens (ages 8-12).
My communication style
You can expect acceptance, care, and great conversation from me as your therapist. I provide constructive feedback in a humanistic and person-centered style to help you grow.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. My path to mental healthcare has included clinical experience at organizations like Axis Mental Health, Center for Autism and Related Disorders, and Outreach Concern, allowing me to help a diverse range of clients.
My goals for you
My goal for you is to make positive changes in your life through our work together. I aim to equip you with coping skills, improved self-esteem, and tools to navigate life's challenges, transitions, and relationships.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will build rapport and discuss what is bringing you to therapy. I'll learn about your background, current situation, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. We will begin to develop a plan to help you reach your goals.
