Hi there! I'm Maria Villeda, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in creating nurturing and compassionate spaces. I tailor therapy sessions to your unique needs, drawing from diverse techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-focused therapies. Together, we'll navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and more, fostering personal growth and well-being every step of the way.
My approach
My integrative approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, trauma-focused therapies, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused strategies. I use a collaborative approach, working closely with clients to tailor therapy sessions to their needs and goals.
My focus
I enjoy supporting women navigating anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, grief, trauma, ADHD, and self-esteem. I'm comfortable supporting many diagnoses conditions and focus on creating a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore, heal, and grow.
My communication style
I strive to create a warm, empathetic, relaxed, and understanding environment where clients can freely explore their inner thoughts, emotions, and patterns without fearing judgment. My goal as a therapist is to walk along this journey of healing and self-discovery with clients while providing a gentle nudge when it's needed while feeling validated and heard.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was drawn to a career as a therapist by a passion for empowering and supporting others on their journey toward healing and personal growth. My drive stems from a deep commitment to destigmatizing the process of seeking help and prioritizing the well-being of my clients.
My goals for you
I collaborate with clients on identifying areas of growth and healing. By collaborating together, we are able to ensure that goals are created and tailored to each client's unique needs and desires to be their true greatness.
My first session with you
In our initial session, we'll focus on assessment, identifying the areas causing the most difficulty for you. From there, we'll collaboratively develop treatment goals to address your current needs. Subsequent sessions will focus on working towards those goals, with weekly meetings to provide ongoing support and guidance.
