My name is Lizzete Banuelos, licensed marriage and family therapist for the past 16 years. I collaborate with individuals and couples to create a plan to help process their struggles with sexual traumas, partner abuse, child abuse, and other traumas.
My approach
I utilize EMDR, trauma exposure therapy, psychodynamic therapy timelines, trauma-focused CBT, and other relational tools.
My focus
The issues I usually work with are anxiety and panic disorders, Sex and intimacy, Marriage and partnerships, LGBTQIA+, Trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
My communication style
Healthy, loving, and respectful relationships are easier said than done. Unresolved trauma can skew our understanding of a healthy dynamic in our relationships with ourselves and others. I collaborate with individuals and couples in creating therapeutic goals and a plan to help process their struggles with sexual traumas, partner abuse, child abuse, and other traumas. My journey to mental healthcare
I have a deep passion for helping clients understand their traumatic pasts as well as dysfunctional pasts so that they may be able to sustain healthy relationships with everyone in their lives.
My goals for you
I structure the sessions guiding the clients to understand where their core issues began and empowering them to make the necessary changes to reach their desired outcome.
My first session with you
We will get to know one another as I answer any questions they may have about therapy and the process as well as understanding the reason for seeking out therapy, and each client will understand their treatment plan at the end of their first session.
