Hi there, I'm Molly!

I am Molly D'Huet, a licensed marriage and family therapist (#46148) and licensed substance abuse counselor. I earned my master's degree in counseling psychology from Ryokan College in 2006, and for the past 14 years, I have worked at all levels of care at treatment centers for eating-disordered clients and adults struggling with substance use disorders.

My approach

My therapeutic style would be best described as interpersonal. I enjoy clients and easily create a sense of acceptance and warmth in sessions. I use various treatment methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and listening very carefully. I believe that clients are quite capable of deciding what they want to change in their lives, and my job is to help them get there.

My focus

I specialize in treating the underlying issues that so often accompany addiction, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and codependency. I understand that most people who struggle with substance use disorders have a heightened awareness of other people's emotional states, which can be both a gift and an overwhelming challenge. I work with individuals, couples, and whole families in a way that draws on each person's strengths and is solution-based.

My communication style

My communication style is interpersonal, accepting, and warm. I listen very carefully to my clients and aim to create a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.

My goals for you

My goal for you is to help you navigate the challenges you face, whether they relate to addiction, mental health, or interpersonal relationships. I aim to empower you to make the changes you desire in your life and to support you throughout your journey of growth and healing.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will listen carefully to your story and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals. Together, we will build a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration.
