Josie Dameyer, Ph.D., MFT. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Client Centered therapeutic techniques.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Systematic Desensitization, Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Substance Abuse Recovery, and Harm Reduction.
My focus
I work with Individuals of all ages and specialize in the treatment of anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and stress related to career, relationship, or parenting.
My communication style
I utilize a warm, relaxed, and inviting style for my clients. I honor each person with whom I work and provide a safe place to explore their feelings and concerns.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have worked in the field for many years because clients are able to make meaningful changes and improvements in their lives. I have seen it be very helpful which is wonderful and very rewarding!
My goals for you
I utilize Motivational Interviewing to discover the goals that the client will find meaningful and are possible to accomplish. We will work to identify and create smaller progressive steps in order to build the experience of better meeting one's true needs and exercising personal agency.
My first session with you
In the first session, I will be getting to know the current concerns and goals of the new client. I am interactive and will also gather an understanding of any past concerns that may be surfacing currently.
