Hello, my name is Dawn Wisniewski, Ph.D, LMFT. My goal is to empower and collaboratively help you heal, resolve, and work through issues, identify and explore your strengths, and help you to reconnect with yourself and others in the way you envision.
My approach
My approach encompasses the mind, body, soul, and spirit in order to promote personal healing and growth. I combine Holistic and Eclectic Therapy approaches in order to promote wholeness and integration of spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental components of one’s well-being.
My focus
My services are tailored to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who struggle with depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, learning disorders, trauma, domestic violence, parenting, life transitions, and more.
My communication style
I offer a place that is welcoming, friendly, empathetic, supportive, nonjudgmental and safe in order for you to explore and discuss the issues that are impacting you and your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services at the University of Phoenix, my Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy Counseling Psychology at Argosy University, and my Ph.D. in Psychology at National University. I have also taken classes at the University of La Verne that focused on School Psychology and Cognitive Assessments and at Argosy University also studied Personality and Career Assessments. I have received training in Christian Counseling, am currently a Clinical Supervisor, and am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
My goals for you
I collaborate with clients to create treatment goals and base the goals on the needs and desires of the client.
My first session with you
During the first session, you can expect a brief introduction, to review the consent forms, and complete an initial assessment. You can also bring any questions, concerns, and requests that you have and we will work through them.
