Hi there, I'm Erika!

My goal is to provide a safe and judgment-free space for you to explore life's unique challenges we all face. I'll walk alongside you to guide and assist in managing life stressors impacting your journey. With my support, we will develop solutions, coping skills, and an understanding of emotions to improve your quality of life.

My approach

In our work together, I utilize a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to your specific needs and goals, including Coaching, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), Culturally Sensitive approaches, EMDR, Family Systems therapy, Gestalt therapy, Mindfulness-Based therapies, Person-Centered therapy, and Reality Therapy.

My focus

I am experienced in working with individuals and couples of all ages, diversity of ethnicities, genders, and different cultural frameworks, which I embrace with warm understanding and appreciation. My specialties include anxiety, codependency, coping skills, depression, grief, women's issues, stress, divorce, family conflict, job stress, parenting, sexual addiction, life transitions, peer relationships, racial identity, relationship issues, self-esteem, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

My communication style

It is essential to me you leave each session with more insight, self-awareness, and self-acceptance than before. I strive to create an environment of open communication, empathy, and collaboration as we work together toward your personal growth and healing.

My journey to mental healthcare

Driven by a passion for helping others navigate life's challenges, I pursued a Master of Social Work degree to equip myself with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive difference. From May 2015 to July 2018, I completed my clinical hours for licensure at Tulare Youth Service Bureau under the supervision of Pablo Martinez, LMFT, laying the foundation for my therapeutic approach.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal for you is to help you live a purposeful life that excites and motivates you. Through our work together, I aim to empower you with the tools, insights, and self-understanding needed to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and create lasting positive change in your life.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual understanding. I will take the time to listen to your story, understand your unique challenges and goals, and collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. You can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
