Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm Patricia!

Hello, I am Patricia Alice, LCSW and I have provided outpatient psychotherapy services for over 42 years. I am a generalist and now work exclusively with telehealth. Therefore my experience is a unique blend of breadth and depth.

My approach

My approach is eclectic and I utilize (but not limited to) a combination of problem-solving, insight, CBT, confrontation, client-centered, strength-based, and self-esteem support.

My focus

I have worked with a very wide range of issues. Most seek help for depression, anxiety, panic attacks, past/current trauma, family issues, bipolar diagnosis, relationship problems, work and career issues, postpartum depression, parenting, and grief/loss as well as life transition issues like retirement and/or aging.

My communication style

I am ‘down to earth’ and direct. I frequently utilize humor. I am positive and upbeat and look for client actions to indicate their improvement and response to treatment. I make suggestions for change or insight during sessions and provide encouragement with client follow-up.

My journey to mental healthcare

Psychotherapy is a very effective way to reduce human suffering. I experienced much growth through my own use of therapy many years ago. Through that experience, I realized this was the right path for me. At this point, I have had a long and productive career doing what I enjoy and have helped many people in the process. The rewards have been remarkable.

My goals for you

I view the client and myself as an equal partnership with the purpose of making things better in their life. Therefore, deciding upon priorities is an ongoing organic process we tackle together.

My first session with you

The first session is an opportunity to introduce ourselves. In addition, this session is utilized to gather important demographic and history information as well as acquaint the client with what to expect in the therapeutic process and legal considerations such as confidentiality. With Path, many of the tasks of the first session will be accomplished through the screening process and assignment of therapist. That leaves us a little more time to explore the issues that brought the client into therapy at this time.
