Hi there, I'm Lois!

As a seasoned psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a license in Marriage and Family Therapy, I draw upon my extensive professional education, diverse life experiences, and genuine interest in people to connect with and assist my clients. My 22 years as a Physician Assistant in various medical settings have equipped me with a comprehensive, integrated approach to therapy.

My approach

I employ a blend of Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, Brief, and Solution-Oriented therapeutic approaches, always striving to tailor my methods to best meet the unique needs of each individual client. Under my care, I have witnessed my clients solve their problems, heal their wounds, and find direction, which has been immensely rewarding throughout my 20+ years in practice.

My focus

I work with individuals, helping them navigate challenges related to aging, anxiety, chronic illness, coping skills, depression, divorce, grief, job stress, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, self-esteem, and women's issues.

My communication style

I communicate with empathy, directness, and adaptability. Drawing from my extensive experience, I tailor my approach to your unique needs, fostering an environment of trust and open dialogue. My goal is to support you with clarity and compassion as we navigate your challenges together.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare has been shaped by my extensive medical background, spending over two decades as a Physician Assistant in family practice, industrial medicine, and student health. This experience laid the foundation for my integrated, well-rounded approach to therapy, understanding the interplay between physical and mental well-being.

My goals for you

My goal is to create a supportive, understanding environment where you feel empowered to confront challenges, gain self-awareness, and develop the tools and strategies needed to lead a more fulfilling life. I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey of growth and self-discovery.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will collaboratively explore your unique story, challenges, and aspirations. This will allow me to gain a deep understanding of your needs and tailor my approach to best support you. Together, we will establish a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and open communication, setting the stage for your transformative journey.
